The case opens by the Cour d'Appel in Montpellier and heads uphill from there. A short climb brings you to the Arc de Triomphe and out onto the Promenade du Peyrou, with the arches of the Aqueduc Saint-Clément in view, before the route turns back towards the Cathédrale Saint-Pierre. It is a murder mystery walking tour that you run yourself, at your own speed. There is one real climb in Montpellier, up to the Peyrou, and the rest is a network of narrow streets that stays walkable for families with children, friends, couples and colleagues; solo players manage it as well.
