This detective game starts at the town hall of Mechelen, on the Grand Place, and moves out into the streets around it. The route takes in Saint Rumbold's Cathedral, the courtyards of Museum Hof van Busleyden and the quieter blocks towards Kazerne Dossin. Mechelen is small enough to cover on foot, and the whole centre serves as the setting for the case. Distances here are short and the ground is flat, so the game suits families with children, friends, couples and work teams, and it is perfectly playable on your own as well. A team is up to four people working from one phone, and larger groups divide into as many teams as they need. Nobody waits for a guide, and there is no departure time to catch. How to play. Two or more teams turn Mechelen into a contest, which makes this a straightforward teambuilding option for a company outing. You can break for lunch and continue afterwards, closing the case somewhere in the streets of Mechelen.
