You begin at the Centre de la Vieille Charité, in the oldest quarter of Marseille. From the courtyard of La Vieille Charité the route drops towards the Cathédrale La Major and the waterfront, where Fort Saint-Jean stands at the entrance to the old harbour of Marseille. It is a murder mystery walking tour that you run yourself, at whatever speed suits you. Marseille is a city of steps and slopes, and the route uses them, so it is worth setting off with water and shoes you can walk in. The game is built for teams of up to four sharing one phone; bigger groups take extra tickets and play as separate teams. Families with children, friends, couples and colleagues get the same version, and a single player is at no disadvantage. There is no guide and no departure time to be on time for. How to play.
