Marrakesh starts the case on Jemaa el-Fna, the great square at the heart of the medina. From there the route runs south through the alleys towards the Bahia Palace and the Saadian Tombs, then back north into the quieter lanes. It is a detective game played on foot, with the medina of Marrakesh as the board. The souks of Marrakesh are busy and the lanes twist, so keeping your team together matters more here than in an open old town. It works for families with children, groups of friends, couples and colleagues, and a single player can take the case on alone. Up to four people share one phone as a team, and larger groups buy extra tickets and go out as several teams. There is no guide walking with you and no fixed start time. How to play.
