The starting point is the Centre municipal, a short walk from William Square in the heart of Luxembourg. The route moves from there to the Palais Grand-Ducal and the Cathédrale Notre-Dame, then out towards the edge of the plateau where the ground falls away. It is a self-guided walking tour written as a murder mystery, and you cover it on foot. Luxembourg is built on two levels, so expect a descent and a climb back up, along with a few sets of steps; none of it is difficult, and families with children, friends, couples and colleagues all manage it, as do solo players. One ticket is a team of up to four sharing a phone, and larger groups take more tickets and split. No guide comes with you, no time is fixed, and there is no reason to hurry. How to play.
