In Grenoble the case opens at the Palais du Parlement du Dauphiné and moves out into the streets around it. The route crosses Place Grenette, reaches the Cathédrale Notre-Dame and comes to rest for a while in the Jardin de Ville, with the Fort de la Bastille visible above the rooftops. It is a detective game on foot, and the walking stays on the flat. The centre of Grenoble is compact and level, and the mountains around it are the backdrop rather than the route, so nobody has to climb anything. Up to four players share one phone as a team, and bigger groups split into teams that play at the same time.
