The investigation begins at Gothenburg City Hall on Gustaf Adolfs Torg and moves out through the canal district. On foot you reach Kronhuset, pass Gothenburg Cathedral and Brunnsparken, and end up near Feskekôrka on the water. Played as a murder mystery walking tour, it puts the centre of Gothenburg to work as a crime scene. Distances are modest here and the ground is level, so the route suits families, friends and colleagues, and it works on your own as well. A team is up to four people on one phone; larger groups form extra teams and start separately. There is no guide and no scheduled departure, so you can set off in the morning or leave it until after lunch. How to play. The setup takes four steps. Book the City Game. You break codes, take photographs where the app asks for them, and question digital characters whose statements rarely agree. Around Kungsparken and the streets leading back into the centre the list of suspects gets shorter. Send out several teams and it becomes a competition, which is what makes the game usable as teambuilding rather than just an outing. Stop when you want, resume later, and settle the case in Gothenburg on your own schedule. The centre is easy to leave and come back to, so an interrupted case costs nothing.
