The trail begins on the Grote Markt in Gorinchem, between the town hall and the Great Church, and stays inside the old fortified town from there. In roughly two hours on foot you work through the Bovenstad, along the seventeenth-century ramparts and out to the Dalempoort, the last of the town's medieval gates. This is a self-guided detective game played on your phone, with Gorinchem as the case file. Gorinchem is small enough to cover comfortably on foot, so the game suits families with children as easily as a group of colleagues or two people on a weekend away.
