In Girona the first clue waits at the Monument als Defensors on Plaça de la Independència. From there the route crosses the Pont de les Peixateries Velles, climbs through the old quarter to Girona Cathedral and passes the Basílica de Sant Feliu on the way back down. It is a self-guided murder mystery game, walked at whatever pace you keep. There are stairs in Girona and the climb to the cathedral is the steepest part of it, so allow a slower pace with small children or anyone who prefers flat ground. A team is up to four players sharing one phone, and a larger group divides into teams that play in parallel. It suits families, friends, couples and work groups equally, and there is nothing awkward about playing on your own. No guide is provided, and you start when it suits you. How to play. The case is the murder of Balthasar. Coded notes, photo tasks and the shifting statements of digital characters make up the evidence, and it is not all consistent. The Banys Àrabs and the walkway along the Muralles de Girona both come into play once the suspects narrow. With two or more teams the whole thing becomes a race across the old town, which is what makes it a workable teambuilding outing.
