Your investigation starts by Eyre Square in Galway and heads straight into the medieval streets below it. Over about two hours you follow the evidence down Shop Street past Lynch's Castle, through the lanes to St Nicholas' Collegiate Church, and on to the Spanish Arch where the Corrib runs out to the bay. It is a murder mystery walking tour you run yourself, with no guide and no fixed start time. The route stays on flat, busy streets, so Galway works for families with children, groups of friends and colleagues, couples, and anyone who would rather investigate alone. Up to four of you share one phone as a team; larger groups split into several teams and compare theories at the end. How to play. You collect statements from digital characters, break codes and complete photo tasks as the story moves from the Hall of the Red Earl toward the quays of the Long Walk. Galway City Museum, the church lanes and the waterfront each hold a piece of it, and every solved puzzle rules a suspect in or out.
