The case is handed to you on the Markt in Eindhoven and moves off through the centre within a few minutes. The route passes the Sint-Catharinakerk, ducks under De Blob at the Admirant entrance and reaches the Philips Museum a few streets on. It is a detective game played on foot, at whatever speed suits the people you are walking with. It fits families with children, groups of friends, couples and work teams, and a single player can take the case on alone. Four people to a team, one phone between them; larger groups buy more tickets and split into several teams. Eindhoven is flat and modern, with wide pavements and short distances, so teams can spread out and still end up within sight of each other.
