About this experience

With one of our hosts, an expert foodie, you will eat your way through Nagoya- a city that has its own name for its local food (its "Nagoya meshi" in Japanese FYI). Learn how to eat hitsumabushi (grilled eel on rice) like the locals or munch on a bowl of miso nikomi (udon-style noodles served in miso broth) at an underground mall. Slurp down ramen noodles, nibble snacks at an izakaya or drink sake in historic yokocho (alleyways). Just save space for ramen because Nagoya has developed its own spicier version called "Taiwan ramen." Nom nom nom. Within 24 hours after booking you'll receive a short questionnaire about your personality and interests. Based on your responses, you'll be assigned a like-minded host. Your host will communicate with you directly to suggest an itinerary to help you discover what makes the city unique. You will also agree on a meeting time and place. Your itinerary is flexible, so during the experience, you can always change your mind about what you want to do .
