The starting point is the Center Parking above the old town of Dubrovnik, and the walk drops from there towards the gates. Inside, the route follows the Stradun from end to end with the Walls of Dubrovnik overhead, then works into the lanes that climb away from it. It is a detective game on foot, with the old town as the place to search. Getting down to the gates and back up again involves steps and a climb, so decent shoes help. Beyond that it suits families with children, groups of friends, couples and colleagues, and it can be played alone. A team is four people at most sharing a single phone, and larger groups split into several teams. There is no guide and no scheduled start, so you can wait out the busiest hours and go when the Stradun has thinned out. How to play. You arrange everything on your own phone before walking down to the gates. Book the City Game. Check the instructions email. Download the Loquiz app. Start playing whenever you like. The case is the murder of Balthasar. You break codes, complete photo tasks and hear out digital characters whose stories will not fit together. On the seaward side, within sight of Fort Lovrijenac, the contradictions surface, and each puzzle solved removes another suspect. Two teams on the same route makes it a race for the solution, which is what makes it usable for teambuilding as well as a day out. Break for lunch, come back to it, and close the case inside the walls…
