Friedensplatz in Darmstadt is where the case is handed over, with the Hessisches Landesmuseum standing on the far side of the square. From there the route runs on foot through the streets of the city centre, doubling back on itself more than once. It is a detective game in which Darmstadt itself is the playing field and the walking is part of the puzzle. Anyone can take it on: families with children, groups of friends, couples, colleagues from the office, or a single player working through it alone. Each ticket covers one team of no more than four, all sharing one phone, and a larger group simply buys more tickets and goes out in parallel.
