Not only is it an architectural marvel, but it is also the Royal Necropolis. Nearly every French king from 639 to 1842 was buried there. In total, 43 kings, 32 queens, 63 princes/princesses, and 10 ministers of the realm were interred in Saint-Denis. The history of the French nation is inscribed in the stones, tombs, and crypts of this cathedral, making it a unique religious monument. .
