Downtown Cancún, not the hotel strip, is where this one plays out. It begins at Parque de las Palapas, under the trees on the square, and moves off through the surrounding blocks to the Parroquia de Cristo Rey, then along Avenida Yaxchilán. It is a self-guided murder mystery game, and the streets of Cancún are the crime scene. The centre of Cancún is flat and compact enough to cover on foot, though the afternoon sun makes an early or late start more comfortable. Families with children, groups of friends, couples and colleagues can all take it on, and a single player manages fine. A team is a maximum of four people on one phone; anything larger splits into several teams. No guide is involved and there is no fixed time at which you have to begin. How to play.
