The trail starts on Münsterplatz in Bonn, at the foot of the Bonn Minster, and works its way out through the old centre. Within a few blocks you pass the Altes Rathaus and, a short walk further north, the Beethoven-Haus. This is a self-guided murder mystery game, and the squares of Bonn are where the case plays out. Distances here are short and the ground is flat, so the walk suits families with children, groups of friends, couples and colleagues alike, and a single player can take it on alone. A team is up to four people sharing one phone, and a larger group splits into several teams before setting off. No guide walks ahead of you and nothing starts at a set hour, so you set the pace yourself between the busy shopping streets and the quieter courtyards. How to play.
