Start the tour early with a delicious breakfast in Hilo, the island's capital, and get ready to embark on an unforgettable journey to volcanoes, craters, lava tubes, viewpoints, rainforests, and the ocean coast. One of the highlights of this tour is a visit to the Hawaiʻi Volcanoes National Park with Mauna Loa, the world's largest volcano, and Kilauea, the world's most active volcano. Inside the park, you will visit a few spots overlooking craters and ethereal landscapes and have a scenic drive along the Chain of Craters Road, taking you to new lookouts with ocean views, cliffs, and remnants of past lava flows. After the park, go to Punalu'u, a black sand beach where you, hopefully, can come across Hawaiian Green Sea Turtles resting under the sun. Then stop at Bay View Farm and enjoy high-quality Kona coffee cultivated in a unique island microclimate and mineral-rich volcanic soil. Before the tour ends in downtown Hilo, visit Hulihe'e Palace, a former summer home for Hawaiian royalty, and Pu'u Huluhulu Trailhead, a perfect area for bird-watchers or hiking lovers.
