Axe Throwing
📍 Didcot, England, United Kingdom
Axe and knife throwing. From age 10+
About this experience
Axe throwing is one of the fastest-growing sports in the UK, and you can try it right here at our indoor Ridgeway Adventure Centre (OX11 9DP), just 30 minutes from Oxford and Reading. Knife throwing and log splitting are also available. In this fun, lumberjack-inspired sport, you’ll throw axes at targets using specialist throwing axes, while our instructors coach you to make sure you land some solid throws. Each session lasts around an hour, starting with practice and technique before moving on to trick shots and advanced throws—Think darts or Aunt Sally… but with axes. Knife throwing can also be added to your 60-minute session (included within the hour, not as extra time). Log splitting is done afterwards. Sessions are by advance booking only and last a minimum of 60 minutes. Groups can be from 2–30 people (for groups over 10 please email info@ridgewayadventures.co.uk). Our venue is fully wheelchair accessible, and gift experiences are also available. Minimum age for axe throwing is 10+. Under 18s must be accompanied by a guardian, who will need to complete the risk form on their behalf. Please arrive 15 minutes before your session to complete paperwork at reception. For safety reasons we do not allow under 8s in the activity centre and aim to minimise non-participating spectators. Our axe throwing range has 7 indoor lanes for a maximum of 7 people throwing at a time. All public sessions may have up to 14 people on a session, if you wish to book the range for a private session please contact us.
